Our Approach
IMATTA JR is an educational wellbeing programme, not therapy or clinical intervention.
The programme is designed to:

Support emotional understanding through structured classroom learning

Maintain clear emotional and professional boundaries

Avoid practices that encourage personal disclosure in group settings

Ensure teachers remain fully in control of delivery at all times
Lessons focus on shared learning using stories, guided discussion, and age-appropriate examples rather than personal experiences.
Children are never required or encouraged to share private or sensitive information.
Teacher-Led Delivery
All IMATTA JR sessions are delivered by school staff already known to pupils, such as teachers or designated school professionals.
This ensures:

Delivery takes place within familiar and trusted environments

Existing safeguarding relationships remain in place

Schools maintain oversight and responsibility for pupil welfare
IMATTA JR does not involve direct interaction between children and external facilitators through the platform.
Safeguarding Boundaries
The programme has been intentionally developed to remain within educational safeguarding limits.
IMATTA JR:

Does not provide counselling or therapeutic services with in the lesson Progrmme.

Does not assess, diagnose, or treat mental health conditions within the lesson programme.

Does not request personal disclosures from children

Encourages general discussion rather than individual sharing
If safeguarding concerns arise during classroom discussions, schools are expected to follow their established safeguarding and reporting procedures.

Schools remain responsible for:

Following statutory safeguarding guidance and policies
IMATTA JR is designed to integrate into existing safeguarding frameworks already in place within schools.
Content Design and Review
Programme content is developed with consideration for:
Materials aim to create predictable, calm learning experiences that reduce emotional risk while supporting understanding.
Online Safety
The IMATTA JR platform is intended for access by authorised school staff and parents only.
We take reasonable steps to maintain a secure online environment and protect user access through account controls and platform safeguards.
Children do not create independent accounts or interact directly with the platform.
Reporting Concerns
If a safeguarding concern arises during programme delivery, schools should follow their internal safeguarding procedures and contact their Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in accordance with statutory guidance.
IMATTA JR does not replace school safeguarding systems.
